AI Seminar: The AI Conundrum in Photographic Art, 2024

The rise of digitalisation keeps pushing us further from the roots of photography, the analogue and our direct connection to the material. What should we think about the AI in connection to photography? How are photographic processes and agencies changing?
The AI Conundrum in Photographic Art seminar explores the reasons and ways that artificial intelligence is being used by artists today. The seminar invites an array of curators and artists to discuss the present and future of artificial intelligence in connection to photographic practices and the broader cultural field.
The seminar is organised by the Association of Photographic Artists (FI) in collaboration with three Nordic photography institutions, Centrum för Fotografi (SE), Fotografisk Center (DK), Preus Museum (NO), and Aalto University.
